Ol' Hige (Jamaican Vampire Hag)
The ol' hige is the Jamaican vampire-hag: an elderly woman bound by a diabolical pact who, by night, sheds her skin, hides it in a mortar or under a tree, and flies as a ball of fire to suck the blood of sleeping victims, often infants.
