Olokun is the Yoruba orisha of the deep ocean, owner of the sea, parent of Ajé (wealth). Androgynous: male in coastal areas, female inland. Grants prosperity to fishermen/traders; withdraws wealth when disrespected. Keeper of subconscious secrets. Imprisoned by Obatala with Ogun's chain after flooding land. Venerated in Lagos festivals and diaspora.
