Owl Giant of Kazakh
Not independently attested as a giant in Kazakh folklore. Kazakh tradition instead holds the owl (üki) sacred: owl feathers are fastened to cradles and headdresses to shield newborns, children and young brides from evil spirits, and to guard akyns, the poet-singers, from harm. No giant owl figure appears in recorded Kazakh tales.
