Owl Giant of Tlingit
No owl giant is attested in Tlingit tradition. The Tlingit of southeastern Alaska and British Columbia tell instead of the woman of the Kîksa'dî clan who became an owl as punishment for cruelty to her mother-in-law; her call foretells bad weather and bad news. The owl is a transformed ancestor figure, not a giant.
