Palden Lhamo
Palden Lhamo (Śrīdēvī), the 'Glorious Goddess,' is the principal female protector deity of Tibetan Buddhism and the only woman among the Eight Guardians of the Dharma. A wrathful form of Tara, she rides a mule across a sea of blood, bearing a sword and skull cup, guarding the Dalai Lamas and the lineage of the Buddhist teaching.
