Panther Ancestor-Spirit (Burmese)
Not independently attested as a panther ancestor-spirit in Burmese folklore, and wrongly tagged as Mexican. Burmese tradition venerates nats and ancestor spirits, but no source records a river-guarding panther ancestor-spirit, and panthers do not hold that role in Burmese belief. The record appears to be a generic 'ancestor-spirit' template with a predator animal attached to it.
