Páutiwa (Chief of Kóthluwalawan)
Páutiwa is the winter-solstice kachina and the most venerable chief of the Zuni spirit pantheon. He rules Kothluwalawa, the spirit village beneath Kothluwalawa Lake, receives the spirits of the dead, and controls the ceremonial calendar, sending the kachinam to dance at Zuni when the world's rituals require them.
