Pele
Pele is the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, fire, lightning and the hula, who lives in Kilauea on the Big Island and shapes new land through eruptions. A fierce, passionate and sometimes vengeful figure, she is honored with offerings of ʻōhelo berries, and her presence is felt in the lava threads ('Pele's hair') that bear her name. She is still actively worshipped today.
