Pocong
The pocong is a well-known Malay and Indonesian ghost: a corpse wrapped in its white burial shroud (kain kafan), tied at the head and feet, that hops because its legs are bound. It haunts graveyards and empty buildings, especially at night, and is rooted in Islamic burial custom—when the shroud is not loosened, the dead are said to rise. A staple of Malay horror film and urban legend.
