Polkan
Polkan is a half-human, half-horse hero of Russian folklore, depicted with a human torso and a horse's lower body, who appears in the skazka cycle, most famously in the tale of Bova the Prince. His name derives from the Italian Pulicane, and in the tale he is a mighty opponent who becomes an ally of the hero.
