Póngo (Circle) Kachina
Póngo, the Circle Kachina, is a figure of Hopi tradition. In the recorded Hopi story 'The Circle Kachina and His Wife Become Stars,' the kachina approached a maiden grinding corn and danced at the village kivas; through his actions he and his wife were transformed into stars, a tale about the consequences of heedless courtship and desire.
