Potopica
Potopica is a Serbian water nymph (siren) inhabiting springs and rivers. She appears as a beautiful maiden combing her long hair. If approached respectfully she grants wishes; if rejected she lures men into the water to drown. Part of the broader South Slavic vila/rusalka complex of water maidens.
