Preah Keo (Sacred Gem)
Preah Keo ('Sacred Gem') is one of the two sacred brothers of a famous Khmer legend. His brother Preah Ko took the form of a sacred ox whose belly held precious objects and divine power, while Preah Keo is associated with the sacred gem and the royal line that brings peace and prosperity to Cambodia. The legend is linked to the Emerald Buddha and Khmer royal tradition.
