Psoglav (literally Doghead) is a demonic mythical creature from Balkan mythology known in Montenegro and surrounding regions. It is described as having a human body with horse legs, a dog's head with iron teeth, and a single cyclopean eye on the forehead. Psoglavs dwell in caves and a dark underground land rich with gemstones but without sun. They are ghoul-like beings who practice anthropophagy, eating humans and digging up corpses from graves to consume them. Their presence is considered a harbinger of death and misfortune.
