Pukwudgie
The Pukwudgie are the little people of Wampanoag folklore, small grey-skinned forest beings of Cape Cod and the surrounding region. Trickster-like and unpredictable, they can be helpful, granting healing or favors, or hostile, leading travelers astray and using fire and magic when offended. Wampanoag stories treat them as beings to approach with caution and respect.
