Qalupalik
Qalupalik is the child-stealing ocean spirit told of across the Inuit world, including Greenland. She lives under the ice near the shore, rises silently through cracks to grab children playing alone on the floes, and tucks them into the pouch of her amaut parka. Her soft humming song is said to draw children toward the water's edge.
