Rakke

Rakke is the supernatural dog of the Stallo giant in Sami folklore. If Stallo is slain, Rakke can lick his wounds and restore him to life, so a hero who defeats the giant must also kill the dog or the victory is undone. Rakke appears in the Stallo tales recorded by Qvigstad, including 'How the Stalos Were Tricked.'
