Rauðkembingur
Rauðkembingur (Red-Crest) is the most savage of all the illhveli (evil whales) in Icelandic folklore. It has a distinctive red crest or mane running along its back and is 10-20 meters long, streamlined, and extremely fast in the water. Rauðkembingur attacks ships with unmatched ferocity, ramming them at high speed and leaping across decks. It neighs ominously before attacking.
