Raven Ghost of Hopi
No 'raven ghost' exists in Hopi tradition, but crows and ravens are genuinely important: the Crow Mother kachina (Angwusnasomtaka) is a chief kachina who leads the Powamu initiation rites and is called mother of all the kachinas, and the crow is a Hopi messenger between the living and the dead. A recorded Hopi tale tells of a Crow who watched the farmers and brought sickness to wrongdoers.
