Raven Giant of Cherokee
The raven figure of Cherokee lore is the Raven Mocker (Kâ'lanû Ahkyeli'skï), the most dreaded of Cherokee witches. Withered and old-looking, it flies to the homes of the sick and dying with a rushing sound like a strong wind and a raven's diving cry, robbing the dying of life and eating the heart to gain years. One so recognized by the right medicine dies within seven days.
