Raven
In Greenlandic Inuit tradition the raven (tulugaq) is a culture hero and bringer of light. In an origin tale recorded across the Arctic, a raven-child born of a woman steals the light a selfish being keeps in a box, flying it through the smoke hole and scattering stars and daylight across the sky. Raven also appears in Inuit stories as a creator and transformer.
