Raven Trickster (Cree)
Raven is a central trickster and culture hero of Northwest Coast peoples such as the Tlingit, Haida, and Nuxalk, credited with bringing light and daylight to the world. Among the Cree, however, the primary trickster is Wisakedjak (Whiskeyjack); the raven appears mainly in minor or incidental roles. The attribution of a raven trickster tradition to the Cree is only partially supported.
