River Mumma (River Maiden) is a Jamaican water spirit appearing as a beautiful woman with long black hair, comb and mirror, dwelling at river sources. Derived from West African Mami Wata traditions via the Twi Nsuo Ba (river child/virgin). She lures men, grants riches to the favored, and punishes disrespect.
