The Apache are a Southwest people whose traditions center on Coyote, the mountain spirit Gaan, and figures such as Changing Woman and Killer-of-Enemies; salmon does not appear in their recorded stories or homeland. The entry is a modern coinage importing a coastal-salmon motif into Apache tradition.
