Saraswati
Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, speech, learning — consort of Brahma. Originating as Vedic river goddess, she becomes personification of wisdom and arts. Depicted white-clad on lotus, holding veena, book, rosary, water pot. Worshipped on Vasant Panchami; central to Hindu, Jain, Buddhist traditions. Not a 'water-spirit' in folkloric sense but a major deity.
