Sasabonsam
The Sasabonsam (Asanbosam), the 'iron-toothed tree vampire,' is the Akan forest ogre of Côte d'Ivoire, told among the Baoulé, Anyi and neighboring groups. It lives in tall trees, seizes passers-by from above, and is said to have iron teeth, hooked feet and bat-like wings; regional tellings color its skin, hair and limbs differently.
