Se'ir
The Se'ir is a desert demon known in northern Iraqi folklore, particularly among the Shammar Bedouin tribes. According to descriptions collected by folklorist E.S. Drower, the Se'ir haunts desolate places and ruins, especially the ancient city of Hatra. It appears as an extremely old man with a beard reaching his knees, one eye, very long teeth tipped with iron, and iron toenails. The Se'ir devours human beings and is known to inhabit wastelands and ruins in the desert.
