Shade (Olmec)
Not independently attested as a 'shade' or vengeful ghost of Olmec folklore. The Olmec left no textual record of a haunting water-spirit, and scholars identify only a small pantheon of Olmec supernaturals, including the Maize God and a rain/were-jaguar figure. The burial-site and ruin-haunting traits resemble generic ghost templates rather than anything documented for the Olmec civilization.
