The Si'luwa is a female water demon from Iraqi folklore that haunts rivers, streams, and caves near running water. She is a variant of the Si'lah (Sila), a type of female jinn known for shapeshifting. The Si'luwa appears as a woman covered in long hair with pendulous breasts so long she throws them over her shoulders when nursing her children, whom she carries on her back.
