Sihuanaba
La Sihuanaba (Siguanaba), 'beautiful woman' in Nahuatl-derived tradition, is a ghost-woman of Guatemalan and Central American folklore. Behind, she seems a lovely long-haired maiden, but turns a horse-like or skull face when approached. She lures unfaithful men to cliffs and rivers, punishing infidelity. Known across El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala; a cross or prayer counters her.
