Si'lat
The Si'lat is a class of female jinn in Levantine and Arab folklore, a witchlike spirit of fixed appearance, unlike the shapeshifting ghoul. Extremely treacherous, it is linked with madness, leading travellers astray in wilderness areas, and malicious interference in human affairs. Medieval Arabic demonological texts name it alongside the ghoul, the ifrit and the marid.
