Singbonga (Supreme God of the Munda)
Singbonga is the supreme creator god of the Munda; his name means 'Sun God.' In the creation myth he set a cosmic egg afloat on a primordial sea, from which hatched Horo the tortoise and Karakom the crab. The tortoise brought earth up on its back, and when the land proved too soft, a great spider's web solidified it. He then made the first humans, sun, moon, and stars.
