Skogsfru
Skogsfru (Forest Wife/Woman) is a Swedish forest spirit, often another name for Huldra or Skogsrå. Beautiful woman with a cow's or fox's tail, hollow back, dwelling in deep forests. Protects game animals, tests hunters (the 'forest test'), seduces lone men. The name means 'forest-wife' (skog = forest, fru = wife/lady). Regionally conflated with Skogsrå and Huldra. Documented in Swedish folklore.
