Sky People
The Sky People are the celestial beings of the upper world in Blackfoot tradition, the Sspommitapiiksi, the sacred family above the earth: Naato'si the Sun, Ko'komiki'somm the Moon, and the star children, foremost Iipisowaahs the Morning Star, who married a mortal and fathered the hero Star-Boy. Sky beings across many peoples descend to teach, marry mortals, and return to homes among the stars.
