Snow Queen (Snedronningen)
Snedronningen (The Snow Queen) is the titular antagonist of Andersen's 1844 literary fairy tale, ruler of snow bees and ice palace who freezes Kai's heart with a mirror splinter. Inspired by Andersen's unrequited love for Jenny Lind. No Danish folk tradition attests a Snow Queen as a nature spirit. The input record misattributes a literary character to oral folklore.
