Garang
Garang is the first man in Dinka mythology of South Sudan, created alongside Abuk, the first woman, by the supreme creator Nhialic. According to Dinka creation tradition, Nhialic formed Garang and Abuk from the rich clay of Sudan, then placed them in a huge pot. When the creator opened the pot, Garang and Abuk emerged as fully formed human beings. Nhialic gave them only one grain of corn each per day for sustenance, which left them perpetually hungry.
