Stalo
Stalo is a vampire-like creature of Serbian and Croatian folklore, a dead man or woman who returns from the grave to drink the blood of living relatives. It resembles the larger Slavic vampire family, and folk protection included burial precautions, garlic, and the destruction of the corpse by staking or burning.
