Stállo
Stállo is the most iconic antagonist in Sami folklore — a large, human-like cannibal giant who eats people, especially children. He is evil, strong, and dangerous but also clumsy, stupid, and easily tricked by clever Sami heroes who invariably outwit him using intelligence over brute force. He dresses in dark clothes with gold buttons and carries a rucksack on his back and a sharp knife. Stállo can be created by noaidis (shamans) from earth, wood, or turf, given part of the shaman's own life force, and sent to attack enemies. If killed with his own knife, he gains strength instead of dying. He
