Stone Giant

giant · United States · North America

The Stone Giants (Otneyarhed or Stone Coats) are a race of cannibalistic giants from Iroquois mythology whose skin is as hard as stone, making them nearly invulnerable to weapons. They roll in sand and clay to create their armor-like coating. They are the mortal enemies of humans and were eventually exterminated through the cunning of heroes who discovered their only weakness: the soft spot on the crown of their heads. Associated with winter and frost, they are often described as primordial beings created by Flint (Hahgwehdaetgah)
