Sun Nuxalk
The Sun is a powerful sky deity of the Nuxalk (Bella Coola), who dwells in a celestial house and carries the torches that light the day. He tests his sons-in-law with impossible tasks, and in the origin tale his mortal wife bears a son who takes the sun's course, burns the earth, and is cast down to become the mink.
