Tagaloa
Tangaloa, in Tongan tradition a family of sky-gods headed by the supreme deity, is the great celestial creator of Samoan and Tongan cosmology, dwelling above in the langi (sky-layers) from which the world was ordered and chiefly lineages descended. The input's claim that he 'fished up islands' conflates him with the culture hero Māui, to whom Tongan myth attributes that feat.
