Tarroo Ushtey
The Tarroo Ushtey, or Manx water bull, is an amphibious creature of Manx folklore that lives in the sea or in lakes and comes ashore to mingle with ordinary cattle. George Waldron recorded the belief in the early 18th century that a cow that mated with it calved only a misshapen lump of flesh and skin without bones, often dying in the effort. It is a close cousin of the Scottish water-bull and distinct from the cabbyl-ushtey, the Manx water horse.
