Te Pusi mo te Ali
Te Pusi mo te Ali ('The Eel and the Flounder') is a Tuvaluan creation tale of the lagoon: an eel and a flatfish are bound in a conflict or agreement that shapes the lagoon's life, and eels are regarded as sacred and tapu in Tuvaluan tradition. The story carries the lagoon-based world-view of the atolls.
