The Pale Fox
The Pale Fox (Ogo, Yurugu) is a central figure in the creation mythology of the Dogon of Mali, the trickster twin who rebelled against the creator god Amma, bringing disorder, language, and divination to the world. His wanderings are mapped in the sand drawings of Dogon diviners, and Griaule and Dieterlen devoted a major study, The Pale Fox, to his myth.
