Ti Malice (Little Malice) is the Haitian trickster, a clever hare who repeatedly outwits his greedy, slow-witted uncle Bouki (hyena). Originates from Senegalese Wolof/Fulani tales (Leuk the hare, Bouki the hyena) brought via the slave trade. Manipulates Bouki's greed to steal food, wives, and status. Louisiana equivalent: Lapin and Bouki. Embodies slave resistance through wit.
