Tiyanak
Tiyanak is the vampiric imp of Philippine folklore that takes the form of a crying baby in forest, field, or abandoned place, luring a rescuer to pick it up before revealing sharp claws and teeth and devouring them. Variants appear as a wizened dwarf, a flying infant, or a black bird. The legend warns against abandoned children and explains strange cries in the wild.
