Toad Woman
Machak Wuhti (Toad Woman) is a Hopi figure recorded in H.R. Voth's Traditions of the Hopi: in 'The Toad and the Snow Kachinas' she lives north of Oraibi at Katchinavala with her son, the Toad Boy, preparing pikami and other food for the kachina dances. She is one of the Hopi wuhti, female mythological beings tied to springs and the earth.
