Trøldur
Trøldur is the Faroese form of 'troll', not a distinct entity. Faroese folklore derives from Norwegian settlers (9th c.) and shares the Scandinavian troll tradition: nocturnal mountain/sea-cliff dwellers, hostile, tricksters, turn to stone in sunlight.
