Trollkona
Trollkona ('troll woman') denotes the female troll of Swedish folklore, typically a mountain-dwelling being (bergatroll). The ballad 'Herr Mannelig' (Bergatrollets frieri) tells of a mountain-troll woman who courts a Christian knight with rich gifts and is refused. Female mountain spirits (bergsrå) likewise lure people into the rock, a motif known as bergtagning.
