Tsichtinako (Thought Woman)
Tsichtinako (Thought Woman) is the invisible guiding spirit in Acoma Pueblo creation mythology. She appeared as a voice guiding the sisters Iatiku and Nautsiti from within the earth before their emergence. As a spirit without a human body, she could not be seen. Tsichtinako instructed the sisters in all aspects of life: how to plant seeds, make prayer sticks (pahos), conduct ceremonies, and organize society into clans.
